So You Want to Blog?

Blogging can be fun to create and informative to your readers.  It gives the author a chance to show of his or her knowledge on a particular subject while helping others gain the knowledge and be able to put it to use.  There are many uses of blogs but the one we are going to discuss today is information blogs that attract customers.  Customers are searching everyday for services they are in need of and trying to figure out which company is the right fit for them. There are many factors that go into choosing a company to do business with such as how long the company has been in business, the integrity of the owners, previous customer referrals and are their prices competitive. When your creating a blog about your company these topics need to be addressed along with the topic you wish to cover. Your blog should be at least 2 paragraphs and not only be an interesting read but provide enough information about your topic that readers will want to either contact your company about your services or revisit your blog site again to learn more about your company or topics you write about. The quality of your blog material is much more important than how many words are in it.  You can also do a series of blogs on a particular topic and let your readers know this is a multi-part series so tune in next week for the next chapter.

Lets start from the top, you need to decide what topic or subject you want to cover. It should be related to your company services and should be part of your blog title. This helps with search rankings so when someone searches for a subject it matches your title. You will also need to blog on a regular basis, say at least once a week as readers or customers get hooked and will want to return for more of your interesting blogs. But the most important thing to remember is just make it interesting, no one reads boring blogs.  Just pick your subject and get writing. Make sure you proof read and then post away. You may want to go ahead and write a months worth of blogs just in case you don’t have time one week to write one, you will always have one ready to post. Writing a blog can be as simple as announcing you will be providing a new service, you may be increasing the area you service, or a weekly special.

I am wishing you good blogging and I am always here to answer any questions you may have.  Ed.B.
